Senior Project Manager (Healthcare Focused)


This is a Full-time position in Meridian, ID posted February 18, 2021.

Work with Program Manager to develop workstream project artifacts for a large cross-functional, multi-year program. Develop and manage project work schedules, risks, issues, dependencies and constraints. Manage core team task assignments, tracking and delivery. Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and mitigate roadblocks to delivery. Proactively work with Program Manager, Project Managers, Business and IT leadership to chart project scope and outcomes that contribute to the overall success of the Project. Apply framework, processes, and standards as applicable.

Job Description

    1. Manage projects in accordance with Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) methodologies.
    2. Participate in cross-functional groups to solve problems across projects.
    3. Utilize a network of relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support, and secure buy-in for desired outcomes.
    4. Effectively lead staff/teams with a passion for customer satisfaction.
    5. Work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and constantly changing requirements
    6. Define and communicate project scope, goals, deliverables and success metrics that support business needs in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders in a clear and measurable manner
    7. Identify, track and manage project dependencies, critical path, timeline, milestones, and deliverables
    8. Identify project risks and problem areas and facilitate resolution or mitigation plans.
    9. Align projects with corporate strategy, business requirements, IT capabilities, and HR requirements
    10. Coach and mentor other personnel and leadership across the enterprise

  • Estimated duration: ~12 months, may extend.  Possibility to go C2H, though cannot guarantee this scenario
  • Start date goal – targeting Feb 2021 start date if possible – as soon as hire is identified

    • Important notes:  seeking minimum 5 years’ true PM experience on large/enterprise projects ($500k to multi-million dollar budget(s), college degree, and PMP or PMI cert. If no degree, would target 13 years experience if at all possible (experience in lieu of degree)
  • Reports to:  Manager Program Management, EPMO
  • Interviews: Zoom video interview with leader & team (panel).  Hiring/selection post-interview sessions.
  • Open to remote
  • Most important is PMP, large system implementation experience, and healthcare/insurance experience.
  • General idea of project(s) this resource will be involved on: large system implementation of payment integrity system, Pareo, which will include several file integrations with Facets and our pre/post pay vendors. Also involves building and implementing payment integrity capability and policies.

Job Requirements:


    1. Five years project management experience to include

o Managing large projects ($500k – $2M+) in a business organization

o Managing project plans to ensure task execution and dependency coordination, and to anticipate and proactively address potential schedule, scope, and resource issues.

o Development and management of project budgets to ensure accurate and timely reporting to management.

    1. Bachelor degree (with preference in Healthcare, Engineering, Process Design, Performance Technology, Information Technology/Computer Science or Business Administration)
    2. PMP or PMI certification



    1. Master’s Degree with preference in Healthcare, Engineering, Process Design, Performance Technology, Information Technology/Computer Science, Business Administration
    2. PMI PMP certification
    3. Experience in Healthcare and/or Insurance industries
    4. Experience with agile development teams and processes
    5. Software/system implementation – experience with complex highly customizable software (e.g. Pega, K2, SalesForce, etc.)
    6. Supplier/vendor services implementation – how to run merged project meetings and project plans across 2 companies
    7. Data management – an understanding of the processes and types of work that come with managing big data – how data is transferred, how data is merged, quality control, and ensuring that our data processes are aligning with current industry best practices
    8. Experience with audit type implementation processes
