Human Resource Benefits Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Idaho Falls, ID posted February 2, 2021.

n nn JOB SUMMARY: Performs Human Resource duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: maintains employee benefits and benefit plans, reconcile weekly and monthly billing, administering ACA, answers, screens, and directs calls.nn nn DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: n HR Benefit Specialist n1.

Maintain all aspects of employee benefits.n2.

Audit employee benefit plans monthly for payroll discrepancies.n3.

Enrolling eligible employees in their benefits.n4.

Terminating employee benefits due to status changes, termination of employment, age limitation and non-payment with carriers.n5.

Hold benefit meetings.n6.

Update benefits information communications material.n7.

Coordinate Open Enrollment.n8.

Audit annual 1095-C information.n9.

401(k) Plan changes, enrollments, & distributions.n10.

Solve any benefit related questions for employees, contracted providers and carriers.n11.

1099 benefit enrollments and changes.n12.

Run and update monthly benefits stats.n13.

Clear understanding and administering of Affordable Care Act.n14.

Assists in planning and coordinating hospital events.n15.

Other duties as deemed necessary in the Human Resources Department.nn nn QUALIFICATIONS: nn nn Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of employee benefits.n Experience: 2 plus years experience working in Human Resources.

Strong knowledge of employee benefits preferred.n Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge and software proficiency in MS Word and Excel.n Language/Communication: Effective written and oral skills.

Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions.n Mathematical Skills: Basic High School math.n Mental Capabilities: Ability to organize, recognize and correct inefficiencies.

Handle and prioritize multiple requests.n Interpersonal: Can remain pleasant under extreme pressure and during difficult circumstances.

Ability to be cheerful, trustworthy, loyal, professional and organized.n Performance: Maintains strict confidentiality, exactness with great attention to detail, and ability to work with others.

Ability to remain politically neutral.

Customer service oriented.nn n
