Amazing comp Room for professional growth Dynamic technology Friendly team REMOTE role Supportive management Job Details About the Role We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with experience building and delivering highly transactional custom software SaaS solutions to join our Cloud Operations team. You will work closely with Engineering and other Operations teams to build, deploy, and maintain systems and tools both in public cloud and on-premises. We are looking for someone with the background, experience and natural curiosity which will enable you to quickly dive into our technology stack and provide critical feedback and guidance to improve performance, scalability, security, and resilience of our services. What You’ll Be Doing Work closely with Engineering, Product, and other teams to recommend, design, and implement infrastructure, tools, and processes to improve and scale our services Own and optimize our CICD pipelines to deploy applications and components to both public and private cloud environments Improve resiliency and velocity through development and implementation of automation, configuration management and Infrastructure as Code Assist with day-to-day administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure, CICD tools, and on-premises application components Monitor systems and services to identify and proactively address issues – recommend and implement improvements to monitoring tools and processes Produce, analyze, and report on service metrics and KPIs for evaluating system performance and capacity planning Contributing to internal documentation and training on systems and processes Participating in on-call pager rotation What You Bring to the Role Previous experience in a DevOps role providing end to end SDLC support, preferably in a SaaS company Deep understanding of various AWS services and experience deploying and supporting external customer-facing environments – AWS certification(s) preferred Experience building, deploying, operating, and monitoring large-scale transactional systems and custom software solutions Hands-on experience building and supporting microservices (Docker, K8S, ECS, Nomad) and serverless (Lambda, Fargate) environments Knowledgeable in Python and at least one other scriptingprogramming language – demonstrated experience applying scripts andor programming to address internal processes or tooling requirements Expertise with development and CICD solutions such with BitBucket, Git, SVN, Jira, Bamboo, Jenkins, NEXUS, Artifactory Requirements 5+ years experience BS or higher in Computer ScienceEngineering Experience delivering services via Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud providers Experience building, deploying, operating, and monitoring large-scale transactional systems and custom software solutions Substantial engineering experience including scripting, software development, database (SQL and NoSQL) Self-motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to organize, plan and establish priorities to meet objectives on time Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and operations concepts Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to communicate well Experience with a UNIX shell scripting language such as Bash, Ruby, Perl, and Python as well as Windows scripting Familiarity with BitBucket, SVN, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, NEXUS System administration exposure both Linux and Windows Experience with the modern DevOps stack including and not restricted to Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins Experience with monitoring systems such as LogicMonitor, Nagios, Prometheus Experience with Docker and containerization strategies Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, NoSQL, Redis deployments So if you’re a DevOps Engineer seeking a remote role send your resume today!
