The candidate will work with team members to develop custom-built laser-based optical systems for time-resolved Raman, IR and UV-Vis studies of heterogeneous catalysts in high temperature gas environments.

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: the use of linear and/or nonlinear optical techniques with high time resolution, pump-probe spectroscopy and/or ultrafast dynamics.

Experience in characterization of metal oxide materials is desired, experience in catalysis is advantageous but not required.

Candidate will be primarily a laboratory-based researcher, with other responsibilities such as the collection, interpretation, and publication of research data and results.
