Executive Director

This is a Full-time position in Coeur D Alene, ID posted March 2, 2021.

n n nn nnNon-Exempt Positionnn n nnFull-Time Employeenn n nnCDAIDE has an immediate opening for a full-time Executive Director in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The Executive Director will report directly to the Board Chair.

With direction from the Chair and the Board, the Executive Director will lead the organization’s fundraising and partnership-building efforts and will manage CDAIDE’s day-to-day programmatic priorities.

Finally, the Executive Director will oversee and lead other CDAIDE employees and contractors, to the extent that funds are available to hire additional staff.

nn n nnCDAIDE is a young nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those who work in Coeur d’Alene-area restaurants and hotels with resources, emergency financial assistance, and positive relationships with mentors.

Hospitality workers form one of the hardest-working yet most fragile groups in our community.

CDAIDE supports them through financial aid for urgent needs, access to health care, connection to community resources, mentoring, and other measures to meet individual needs.

nn n nnResponsibilities:nn n nnFundraising nn n nnDiversify CDAIDE’s portfolio by securing funds from various sources in order to sustain and develop the nonprofit’s operations, including businesses, churches, foundations, and individual donors.nn nnEngage in a variety of fundraising methods, including grant writing; partnership development with businesses, churches, and corporations; relationship development with foundations, individual donors, and other key contributors; event planning; and planned gifts.

nn n nnOutreach and Partnership Developmentnn n nnWork to raise the profile of CDAIDE and its work within the hospitality industry; with potential donors; and with the greater community.nn nnFocus on building relationships with individuals and entities that will further CDAIDE’s mission, sustainability, and capacity to leverage community partners to support critical needs for hospitality workers.

nn n nnProgramming nn n nnOversee CDAIDE’s volunteer-driven program providing emergency financial assistance and mentorship to hospitality workers.

nn nnOversee CDAIDE’s volunteer management strategy.

nn nnWork with Board and volunteers in the development of CDAIDE’s events in alignment with the organization’s mission (see website for archive of past events).nn nnAssist the Board in developing and measuring goals and objectives and communicating our success to members, funders, and other stakeholders.nn nnFacilitate the mission and vision of CDAIDE, following a strategic plan developed by the Board.nn nnWork with all Board Committee Chairs; collaborate with Board President to collate committee reports for the monthly Board meeting.nn n nnOperationsnn n nnHire and manage paid staff.

nn nnManage and oversee contracts for services, such as website development, social media management, PR.

nn nnCoordinate the development, publication, and distribution of an annual report and oversee the creation of other marketing and communication materials.nn nnReport on progress: informally to the Board Chair (weekly) and through formal written reports to the Board (at monthly board meetings).nn nnServe as the key staff contact during the budget process; authorize payments and reimbursements, in conjunction with Board Chair, Treasurer, and/or bookkeeper.nn nnOversee day-to-day financial operations of the organization.nn n nnRequirementsnn nnChristian faith (CDAIDE is inter-denominational)nn nnBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experiencenn nnFundraising and development skills and experiencenn nnExcellent written and oral communication skillsnn nnAttention to detail and ability to take the initiativenn nnStrong time management skills and schedule flexibility nn nnComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, and internet nn nnAbility to operate and utilize own vehicle for CDAIDE business on occasionnn n nnHours: Full-time (40 hours per week); ability to work some evenings and weekends.
