Title Operations Supervisor

This is a Full-time position in Boise, ID posted February 5, 2021.

Summary: The Treasure Valley Title Operations Supervisor will provide support to the Title Team Leader and will oversee the daily operation of the Title Assistant team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to training, directing title assistants to manage capacity and demand, managing cross training activity, planning for capacity needs in the Title Assistant team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The individual in this position must possess good organizational skills; be able to type 65 or more words per minute with a high degree of accuracy; utilize 10-key by-touch; have the ability to communicate well with customers to obtain additional information.

Supervise day-to-day production/customer response activities; plan and direct employee work assignments

Create, plan, and direct training for new and current title assistants

Coordinate cross-training within the title assistant team

Manage and Direct the title assistant team on how to manage volume

Coordinate shared responsibility between the title assistant team to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of service

Plan for staffing needs to review with the Title Team Leader

Address the performance of title assistants with Title Team Leader

Serve as a mentor to Title Assistant Team by providing technical guidance and answers to questions

Assist in hiring and staffing needs

Escalate issues to Title Team Leader when appropriate

Provides leadership and supervision to title team members by performing such duties as recruiting, interviewing applicants, training, scheduling, coaching and resolving conflicts, coordinating with other departments, conducting individual and team meetings, establishing and monitoring performance objectives, conducting performance appraisals and recommending wage increases.

Establishes, monitors and updates standard operating processes for title team including; a) SOP documentation b) Conducts periodic production meetings c) Performs quarterly file audits on each title assistant d) Ensures title procedures and policies comply with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Recommends changes in basic structure and organization of title team to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to problems and opportunities.

Follows State, Federal, and Company rules, regulations and policies regarding settlement services, including Department of Insurance regulations/guidelines and Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act (RESPA) in accordance with State law.

Prepares title team activity reports and works with Team Leader to ensure Title Assistant goals are met.

Qualifications/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred but not required

Marketing major or equivalent major or experience.

Five years business management experience.

Proven track record of leadership and people development.

Demonstrates a business and personal philosophy consistent with TitleOne’s core values and mission statement.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management and co-workers.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Proficient use of Resware, Ultima,Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Order processing, windows, micro-film real machines and fax machines.
